Claire Batista Golf Academy

The Legacy Golf Club is featuring its golf academy, directed by Claire Batista, a Class A member of the PGA and LPGA. With over 17 years of experience in the golf industry, Claire is known nationally for her teaching experience, and was recently honored by Golf for Women magazine as one of the top 50 female instructors in the country. (She has been the women's golf coach at the University of Toledo for nine seasons 1995-2003).

The Claire Batista Golf Academy is committed to providing you with the ultimate golf experience. "Our goal is quite simple....to see that you learn the fundamentals of the golf swing necessary to improve and enjoy your game." Claire's teaching style is to make your swing work for you with as little change as possible. She has found that integrating communication, knowledge, and patience is the formula to a faster success rate. She will put her proven golf instructions to work for you.

We offer a variety of instructional programs to fit your personal needs and schedule:

•Group clinics are being offered during the evenings April-July, with a maximum of ten students per session.

1/2-Day School
This program includes 4 hours of specialized instruction on the full swing and techniques of putting, chipping and sand play.

One-Day School
This program includes specialized instruction on the full swing and techniques of putting, chipping and sand play. Also included is a nine hole playing lesson with golf professional.

Two-Day School
Two-day programs include 12 hours of instruction covering all aspects of the game, an 18 hole playing lesson covering course management, and one round of golf with classmates.

Computerized Video Analysis
Computerized video analysis accelerates the learning process. The interactive Frontier V1 Video System's unique visualization technology offers split screen graphics and model comparisons.

Junior Golf Club
The Junior Golf Club is designed for serious golfers age 18 and under who are looking to take their game to the next level. Please contact Claire Batista Golf Academy for more information.

Curriculum involves:
1. Full Swing: gain distance and accuracy through consistent ball striking.
2. Short game: learn to save strokes around the green with emphasis on putting, chipping, pitching, and sand play.
3. On course instruction with your PGA/LPGA professional to maximize scoring potential.
